Brentwood Lodge is situated at the site of the original Flying Boat service centre building from 1939, when the Vaal Dam was used as South Africa’s First International Airport and where they landed on the water. The Flying Boats’ engines were removed down at the waterfront, transported to this building and serviced prior to their re-fitment and return journey to the UK.
The hangar workshop building has been transformed into Woody’s Pub and the Main Hall which is used for functions and / or meetings. The outer buildings house accommodation on the property.
All the accommodations offer comfortable beds with en-suite bathrooms mainly with showers. Flat screen TV’s in the rooms have OVHD decoders.

Deneysville is off the beaten track but can offer a traveler a variety of restaurants as well as an awesome selection of produce from the local butchers. In addition, the small craft shops, such as “Danica’s”, “Barrels & Roses” and “The Trading Post”, are all worth a visit. Many other travelers just enjoy the outdoors fishing or a day on the dam sailing.
